Yes, into the SF without playing a match ! Elysia Bolton lost her singles 3 & 0 in the first match today and Jada Hart retired in her singles on Wednesday, so no surprise.

The other three QF are on the schedule for today

Katie now seems to be walking all over her singles opponent, two breaks up in the opening set. Katie *3-0

Didn't look good for a couple of games, but Katie got from *4-3 to 6-3

While it is great to see Katie's name in these threads again after a while of non playing, it is a shame she is plodding along in 25k's whilst Tara is in a 60k tournament...

Yes to an extent re Katie, though maybe she just wants matches just now.

Regarding Tara she is no doubt mainly in the 60K because of her doubles and has lucked into a 60K singles draw which is more like a 25K. Though still done well particularly in her R2 match.

And there is not a huge difference between 25K and 60K ranking points with the 25Ks so out of ratio in the prize money to points scale.

Katie's last two tournaments were back-to-back W60's in Gran Canaria in August, and she lost first round in both.

Very sensible to return in a W25 for some match practice, although we all know she is capable of competing in higher tournaments.
