 Muguruza has reached the final by a bye in the 1st round, 2 easy wins and 2 walk overs. An easy week. Azarenka has given Muguruza 2 walk overs in 2021.

Nice 'work' if you can get it. At least $50K and 305 ranking points for reaching the final. And in the other SF Rybakina has retired in the second set vs Jabeur.

Also potentially very useful WTA race points and hence bigger riches for both Muguruza and Jabeur.

 Not sure why Rybakina retired but Vondrousova who was due to play Muguruza had food poisoning. Bencic retired in her quarter final against Rybakina because of an injury sustained in play.
