Unfortunate draw though, rest of the field doesn't look that strong.

Emily didn't travel here (she would have made it into qualies), presumably because they didn't think they would make doubles being 4 out on original list. But they've now got in as alternates, and will play third seeds Christian (who is on a 6 match losont streak) and Routliffe (who reached the Luxembourg final last week).

Em and Ru a quick *0-3 down. Ru just cannot cope with the pace of these courts, was the same in her singles qualifier where she couldn't time the ball and was just left stranded.

To their credit they settled into the match from 0-4*. They had a deuce point to recover the double break, but didn't have a chance to do much with it.

Rutuja broken on a deciding point, and their opponents served it out to love. Looked better than there last match, but I do think Em looks rather tired and strained.

Yeah I thought they played some good tennis but left themselves too much to do with the slow starts in each set. Need to work out a way to convert some of these deuce points.

I think Em only got to Ostrava yesterday? She was back home over the weekend.

Wasn't sure how much Zhang would have left in her after losing a mammoth singles earlier.
