Week 37 - WTA250 Portoroz, Slovenia Hard

where does this take Katie rankings wise so far? Presumably she should hope to beat those two mentioned by Paulise in the post above?

I think it takes her up to live rank 155 and keeps her ahead of Fran in the GB rankings.

Christian or Puti next - prize money is pretty poor for this tournament.

She's just had a $70k cheque from making R1 at the US Open - I think she's alright financially for a bit, these points are going to be vital though! Hope she can go deep.

Another good win for Katie, making slow but steady progress back (hopefully) to the Top 100. If only she had been able to have a full US swing, that taped up arm still worries me.

Yes, you feel like she needs a really deep run to kickstart her push back into the top 100.

I notice Katie has switched to Emma's lucky Red Nike dress instead of the Yellow one she wore at Flushing Meadows.

As against 23,548 for the title winner here. The Slams can certainly make a huge difference, for some more than others!

Really close first set, Hev+ went up a break, but it's Tara and Emina who take the first set 7-5

And Tara and Emina win the second set too - taking out Hev+, the fourth seeds, in two sets.

Really pleased for them

Emina and Tara have a great shot at winning this event. It's a pretty even field.

Bronzetti having a fabulous week, taking out Peterson and Pera, and now awaits winner of Katie's match. Hopefully she has a let down in the doubles this afternoon!!
