Katie doesnt seem to have properly got going again since Wimbledon, not helped I imagine by having barely played. Hope she gets back into the swing of things

Katie did what we would have expected of her, meanwhile Sam was up against an opponent nearly 100 places above her and at a CH so I don't think we should be too brassed off about that one.

The effort level here is fairly questionable to be honest. But at least she's held.

Loses 6-1 6-3. Cirstea had an injured ankle and wasn't putting her weight on it properly which made it even worse. So many forehands hit half way up the net.

Bleurgh.

Katie in singles action tomorrow. Sam, Em and Heather don't have their doubles until Wednesday.
