Slightly off topic but there are some disturbing posters on TF.
Tell more !!?
It's the language they use, very odd, my spidey sense starts twitching. Just go on the current threads for Emma in general messages, you don't have to join. There's also bizarre threads like players in bikinis etc. It just seems full of misogynists, homophobes and pervs, weird froum, poorly moderated
Yeah it's useful for when Spiceboy posts entry list updates (he has access to WTA Playerzone somehow, but it's been down most of the past week so players haven't been able to enter/withdraw from events) but otherwise not worth engaging with. Used to be much better but in recent years it's taken a real nosedive.

I never go on there. I can't find anything. Might be me but there seems to be no system. Just gets me annoyed trying to find the basics. So, because of your post, I went there 10 mins ago - first time in about a year. Again, took ages to find what should be straight forward - and found a whole discussion on what is involved in being classified as a 'sweetheart'..... linguistically, it's actually quite interesting but felt rather inappropriate. So I left
Yes, some decent people on TF but also some very odd folk. One guy claims to really like Emma, then spends all the time running her down, lol.
Better atmosphere on here, it seems to me.

Thats that weird ChrisR, I got massive incel vibes from him
I'm on the fence as to whether it would be better for Emma to let this match go with an eye on next weeks qualies or consider this tournament the priority (bird in the hand) with an eye on next year.
Latter for me. Would be great to get through this whole week and even win the tournament. Then whatever will be will be next week and if she's running on fumes and exits in qualies then indeed next year and the years after.

I err that way too. Who knows who she will draw next week, there are always some players in qualies that really should be in MD just as there are always players in the MD that you know wouldn't make it through qualies
I too brought up TF and understand the vibe you talk of. It is odd isn't it, that any message board covering any subject will eventually take on a personality of its own. I guess just one or two posters dictate the mood and then those in the minority think "I don't like it here much" and leave whilst others who it does appeal to, stay. Thus growing the "vibe"
Whatever it is, I think we all (as regulars) enjoy it here which is why when it takes a little knock from outside, I hate to see a regular quit over it which has happened once or twice in the past.
Pretty much every Emma match thread seems to go a similar way. I still like the forum, but there are some very strange posters.
As for the coming week, if I had the option for Emma to win 2 more matches here, but crash out in Q1 next week, or lose today and qualify next week, now we're at the business end, I'd prefer the former personally.

It's the interweb! Crazies gonna be crazy.
People on here can be....'left of centre' but nowhere near as nuts as elswhere. I've called out a few in the past but generally it's pretty safe here.
Thank you moderators btw...grand job

I go on there just to check Spiceboys updates and occasionally dip into general messages to read about particular matches. There are some disturbing posters on the Emma Rad thread that could really do with a welfare check from the authorities, and don't get me started on the stupid posters with their 'signature girls' The moderation needs to be much more robust on there.
Just looked at he moderators and it appears that the vast majority of them if not all are Male, why am I not surprised

I'm pretty sure i've been in this community for 20 years plus. I did quit last year due to some dodgy comments and stubbon posters. You can't keep an old dog down eh
