Wimbledon form held up well with only Sabalenka not making the semifinal from the Wimbledon semi finalists. There were several retirements or in Halep's case a walkover for their opponents. Badosa was the latest retirement.
I had at look players failing to complete matches/walkovers and the total at Cincinnati is currently is 5 retirements and 1 walkover. The total at Montreal was exactly the same 5/1.So that makes 10 retirements and 2 walkovers. Total 12 in the 2 most recent tournaments and it was 12 different players,

Quite a concern with the US Open not that far away.
Barty has looked absolutely terrific in her last two matches. The player who looked awful and very rusty at times against Heather seems to have vanished. Pliskova also seems to have rediscovered some high level form from Wimbledon. Good to see Kerber playing well once more and seeming to enjoy her tennis again. She looked lost and fed up earlier in the season.
