Ta. In reply to your question on another thread, I don't have a quickie site. But if you bring up the draws on ITF, and do a 'control find' for GBR, you find the GB players instantly and don't have to go trawling through too much. It's a sad life but I actually find it quite therapeutic - I do it in my 'down' time, when other things on the computer have been getting stressful.....
A real shout out to Flora - who I dont know at all prior to these past two weeks. Last week she was 8 seed in singles and won the event; unseeded doubles and runner up. This week she is unseeded in both and in both finals. Thats decent at any level.
I don't know anything about Flora apart from her name came up on my radar when she got her first ITF ranking point - quite a few months ag0 now - and then won a couple of matches in the Edinburgh/Wrexham events.
At the time, we only had a couple of 2007-ers who were ranked so her name stood out as rather.
We now have 15 2007-ers - but most are very lowly ranked, based on a doubles win, say, at the Edinburgh/Wrexham events, which were effectively closed events.
We now have 3 2007-ers in the top 1000 (Flora is in third place, behind Mimi and Hep)
And another 5 in the top 2000
The other 7 are all in the 2001-3000 range
(And obviously Flora will get a big jump when these points go on)
A shout out to Serena Manca too - who went from being unranked to our 5th best ranked 2007-er in one fell swoop. Will also rise this week. And only lost 5-7 in the third of her event this week.
