13 in the top 100 tells a story of lots of volume in the USA game, and that is good. But no stars or challengers- if you have Reilly Opelka as your top player that also tells a story.

Djoko has lost 16 sets in his 26 matches so far in the slams this season. Of those 16 sets, the profile is

1st set loss = 9
2nd set loss = 4
3rd set loss = 2
4th set loss = 1

Djoko is clearly most vulnerable in the opening sets, 1 in 3 players take that set off him in this seasons slams - maybe expect to see that happening tonight or in the final, but pretty much expect to see him win in 4 sets ultimately if he does. But if someone else going to be able to beat him, it feels like they have to take the first set and certainly take 2 of the first 3

Djokovic once again lost the opening set but won the 2nd and 3rd before winning in 5 sets.

So he plays Medvedev in the final for the grand slam. Medvedev has to win that opening set and then keep it up.

Might be blasphemous but a shame Novak couldn't do it, because it would've been the cherry on the cake. That said, I like Medvedev and I am pleased that occasionally Novak doesn't have it all his own way.
