Well, she did win four matches in a row, including a couple in the 100-200 range. So it looks as if that is her standard at present, which is pretty good for her age and experience. To take the next step, into the top 100 she may need to work on her stamina, if that is what is limiting her.
Yes, Emma no doubt needs to work on her fitness and stamina. Tennis took a bit of a back seat for her for a long time and week to week pretty high level tennis in tough conditions is all new to her. And, as Jon says, look back to Andy in that breakthrough Queen's and Wimbledon year. Give her a break folks!
The really exciting thing is her level of tennis when she is 'on'.
Take what she can from this half season, and already not too shaby, then a bit of a bootcamp close season and look forward to next season.

No idea but Gabi's old coach is saying Emma's problem was heat stroke:

I had one of my worst experience there as a coach with the heat. Gabi had to retire due to a strong heat stroke, like Emma or Vandeweghe. The place and the people there are lovely, Top with upwards arrow above. The staff was pretty good as well, but the conditions at this time of the year are pretty tough.
