7-5 7-6(4). What a week she is having. 90 points must be up there with the biggest points haul of her career - I can only think of Wimbledon off the top of my head, and maybe a Q and R1 win at the AO a couple of years ago, but it's right up there.
Harriet was struggling physically in the second set, had a MTO midway through for a foot / back issue, and was visibly hampered, but dug in so well. She was 6-1 up in the TB, and it was clawed back a bit, but I was so pleased when she finally converted, not least as it's 2.30am, but I'm not sure if she would have came out for the decider had it went that way.
Should be a day off now, and another Canadian challenge in Andreescu, the technical defending champion (Toronto). Hopefully she will have recovered physically, but a marvellous week regardless.
Looks like harriet back on today. Nb midnight our time. Jo is also on at 4 pm our time
Is it just me or does Harriet's serve have a little bit more pop on it than it used to? I thought that watching the Wimbledon mixed and also a couple of points from last night.
Hopefully the calf issue isn't too bad but if it is or there is a real danger of making it worse, the right call at this time would probably be to pull out.
