Emma has 17 votes, can't see another 8 votes coming in to put her under 50%.

Amazing that a Wimbledon winner in Neal and also Alfie got zero votes, and a Wimbledon finalist in Joe.

Shows that some of our players are doing some decent things, here and there.

I'd say that is also down to how much many folk differentiate as to the particular events that wins are in.

Let's  spell it out! It doesn't need a psychological genius to explain Emma's win. Neil, Alfie reached the level of their rankings and our hopes/ expectations. Likewise if Heather  Jo, Andy Dan or Cam  had done what Emma did, they would not necessarily have won POM. But Emma performed way above expectation , has been taking A levels, scarcely played on the pro circuit this last 18 months, was ranked in the 400s and has never played matches on such a public platform.

I dont disagree , honest, I was trying to make a positive statement that it is great that players win Wimbledon titles , or atp250 titles or whatever and still arent player

of the month... I think thats great!

Agree, I try to look at what the expectation for each player is and vote accordingly.

And thats sort of my point above, the fact we are expecting slam doubles finals, mixed wins or atp 250 singles titles is great - and mens doubles at atp250 barely get a look in, maybe 3 or 4 years ago that would be very different
