The field here is so weak, good choice from these girls to come over to this 250 on Hard Court.

Yes, we have 3 players ranked in the 200s seeded in qualifying for a WTA 250 with extremely winnable looking matches. Such a glut of 250s and W60s this coming week.

2 rounds of qualifying with 12 ranking points for winning QR1 and 18 points for qualifying.

Sam and Naiktha are seeded to meet in the FQR.

Sadly Sam has given her opponent a walkover. Hope she's ok, such a shame as good points were on offer.

Jodie struggling a little, was *2-5 down, now 5-5*

Tara 5-6*

Do we know if Sam actually went? And was injured. Or just didn't show up?

Good turn around for Jodie, who takes the first set 7-5

Good for Jodie to stop the run of losses. Hopefully onwards and upwards

Yes Sam moved to main draw, although I suspect she'd have rather had the match and points from qualifying. Tara was twice a break down in the second, and saved 4 match points in the tiebreak before going out 7-5 7-6(9).

Well done Jodie, got there

 Great news biggrin

And for Jodie too - well done.

Tara had set points in that second set mega TB but ended up losing it 11-9 cry

Naiktha was 4-1 up, and then a long MTO (presumably for her opponent)

Back up and running now

Interesting that Sam got moved to the main draw, when the #1 seed Gasanova played qualifying today. Must have been a late withdrawal this morning.

And Naiktha wins by retirement, which is not surprising.

Murray Sharan gets Martincova. Lots of tough Q draws

Yes I think Sam might have been better in qualies!! I suspect she entered with her protected ranking which might be why she was moved up ahead of Gasanova despite being seeded below her.

Very easy route for Naiktha.
