Sorry if it's been mentioned elsewhere , but I'm just delighted.
The fact it's on terrestrial and people might watch not just the headline matches but some juniors, mixed doubles or the like is a very good thing as far as I'm concerned. I think BBC sports live broadcasts are streets ahead of the competitors. I've been driven to distraction watching the French Open by an artistic shot of two pigeons or a totally unknown personality and missing the first serve of a game.
While we're at it, can we have a rethink about some of the commentators ? I'd give Castle and Inverdale the heave ho for a start.
They're terrible, but could be replaced with even worse (Barry Cowen comes to mind). We definitely need a mute commentary button to only hear, ball and lines/crowds
I've tried listening to radio or ATP commentary while watching, but never yet managed to synch anything successfully.
I'm really effed off with the endless and meaningless stats that stand in for knowing anything at all about the players. The first Argentinian to have a break point against a volleyer from France in ten years type of stuff....
I love the commentators who badgered for a comment by the co-commentator just quietly wait until the end of a game. Santoro does it beautifully in the face of Inverdale.
