To be honest CD, I was more meaning the British scene in general yesterday, rather than the British domestic exho scene.
I'm not sure about the new format. I think there are advantages and disadvantages, and I do think it's better overall personally. I do like the fact players only have to play 5 matches now, rather than 7 in 7 days, but at the same time, looking at the schedule today, and just seeing a bunch of 5-12 playoff matches, there's nothing really there that takes my interest, especially with Jasmine withdrawing, so I will probably give the day a swerve, and watch the semi finals tomorrow. One semi final today, one tomorrow, and the final on Sunday would have been better from a spectacle POV, but then a rest day for all four, and both semi finals tomorrow is obviously much better from a fairness POV. Maybe they could make it a 6 day event in future and end on the Saturday instead?
I thought the schedule might have resulted in less withdrawals, but obviously Jasmine withdrew, and I see there was a withdrawal in the men's in the lower playoff bracket as well, but at least it doesn't affect the actual top end side of things - e.g. all groups matches took place as planned, as well as all 4 QFs yesterday, and presumably both semi finals will tomorrow, so it's just the lesser placings that are hit a bit, whereas in the past we have seen someone like Talia come in on the final group day, lose 0 and 0 to Eliz in 33 mins, which can affect the whole course of a group, especially if it was a fairly competent player she was replacing, who could have given the benefactor a proper match. I'm not sure how they will sort the 'lesser placings' - e.g. Holly could win her three 9-12 round robin matches, and finish 9th, whereas this Jonea 'Jojo' Bach (who I'd never heard of) could come in for Jasmine, lose both of her two 5-8 playoff matches 0-6 0-6, and presumably finish 8th in the group, which would be weird / wrong - so I'm not sure what will happen there.
I see that there appears to be little interest on this board for the mens event - no comments for a couple of days. I must admit that I also have limited interest in the whole event, and only look in for the results. But I'll keep posting for this week anyway, and see what the entry list is like for week 6 in August.

For what it is worth, I tend to check the results but have lost interest in commenting on it - and have also taken it out of my PoM entry routes for player of the season! Wow!!
If it is of any relevance, I sort of am placing it now in my mind as an alternative to the British Tour really and clearly falls into the exho category; like we do on the British TOur, where there is one thread in the general section that gets updated, I wonder if using the UK Pro Series thread in the general section could play a similar role for the UK Pro League as well?

I'll definitely read your posts, the addict
In fact, it's far more likely I'll read the results here than go and find them on the site so, completely up to you, but please know they are read and appreciated
So I did a little research on JoJo Bach. She's 19 years old and a Junior at the University of Delaware. Giving Freya a good match right now, although 1-6 3-4* down.
I've put up a bit about Jojo before (she has strong French connections, played there for quite a while, her dad's a coach, called Francois, so I'm assuming he's French, etc. etc.)
However, from watching 5 minutes, she's got some pretty bad technical problems.

As a follower of the junior boys and girls tennis, pretty sure youve not seen Talia come into the event on the last day, besides which shes still 15 and so not been eligible to compete.
I think that's the best final overall. Sonay did lose a MTB to Millie earlier in the week (when both had already qualified), but both Emily and Sonay have been betting favourites in all their matches thus far, significant faves in most cases, and I see they are both odds on to win today, so it's pretty much 50/50.
I've been quite impressed with Grace from the bits I've seen this week, she pushed Sonay close yesterday, and is doing well against Millie in the 3rd / 4th playoff at the moment. I think that's the first time I've seen her close up, outside of a fixed ITF like stream. She looks a bit like a shorter Rybakina.
Ana beat Freya 6-3 6-4 to finish 5th, so Freya's woes continuing, following modest recent ITF results.
Oh, and I meant Tiana the other other day, not Talia.
