Any news on Mimi and where she is at the moment? Is she injured?

she retired after first match 18U Nationals. Hopefully nothing serious but a lot of 2006/2007 players will be starting GCSEs so this may apply to her?

Thanks, Daisycat. She's not sitting GCSEs until next summer, although I know she's very academic and likes to do well.

She could be doing some GCSEs early. Sometimes the brightest kids do this.

I think the most likely scenario, unfortunately, is that her injury isn't properly healed. Or she has a new one.

GSCEs or not, she wouldn't have dropped out of the nationals unless it was an injury.

Just seen a post on Instagram suggesting Mimi is back practising on clay in the UK, hopefully before she has a swing at the RG Junior Quals.

Looks like Mimi is recovering from her injury following Nationals retirement. she has been practi near Birmingham on clay and has just posted on Instagram she is in Belgium with I am assuming Ranah S getting ready for J300 Charleroi tournament. Good luck to all the Brits playing next week

Mimi has just made the final of the J300 in Canada (where she'll play Hannah)

This will give her 210 points, replacing a 60 pointer, and hence a big boost

It'll also help her in a month's time when she's got rather a lot of big scores rolling off

Most importantly, she's obviously playing well and - we assume - past her injury problems of earlier this year

Glasgow 60k

In her first adult event since Wimbledon, Mimi won her two qualis matches and won all the way through to the semi-finals - winning all her matches in two sets - including a win over Knutson, WTA 179

She finally lost to Mona Barthel, but only by a whisker - she was two points from the victory in the second set.

A brilliant showing for Mimi, who turned 16 a couple of weeks ago.

Congrats Mimi! Good to see Mimi easing into seniors. Close but lost semi final but still comes out of the W60 Glasgow with a senior ranking of 744 up from 1033.

Already posted elsewhere, but amazing day at AO for Mimi, reaching Quarters in the singles and semis in the doubles with Hannah K. Good luck girls, keep going!
