June 2021 Player of the Month Poll

Thanks, Jon. Great job. And well done Katie !

(Although rules is rules in my book. 50% means 50%, and she didn't have it. But I doubt she'll be concerned by the asterisk I put by her title )

Sorry for voting late - not paying enough attention but happy for Katie to win even if I didnt vote for her.

Im more concerned at how Cam will take being runner up again! Poor guy must be demoralised and the one he won , he actually drew with a 12 year old

Hopefully Cam's too focussed on Wimbledon to put his lawyers on the case

Well done to Katie. Was super to see her qualifying. A very worthy PoM.

This is Jon's thread and Jon's concept so I think he's allowed to do whatever he likes with it. And I think he got the right result!

Ha, thanks SuperT - main thing is though that I want other folks to embrace it and I am glad they did this month!! And most months as well!

I guess it's a sign of a really good month overall, where a British player becomes a Grand Slam champion ON CLAY, and doesn't get a single vote for POTM on the GB tennis forum. SO many good performances overall but well done to Katie.

that is so true Bob and Joe never really even got a mention as someone anyone was considering as an option...

Good point Bob. I do value mixed (not on a par, but I do love it, think it should be played more, and deserves more respect). tbh, I'd completely forgotten about Joe which may be because it happened so early on in the month and there was so much good stuff recently.

Perhaps naively and prematurely, I feel a lot better about the future of British tennis after this month!

And along those lines Jon, whilst I'm not too fussed about the competition element, I do think this is a nice way to sum up a month in GB tennis. Thanks for the effort!
