And that one break point was enough 4-6

Sam and Naiktha down 3-6 0-3*

Should have picked up a couple more games really, some nice moments but not really in it. Disappointing as this was definitely the kindest of the doubles draws not to take any kind of advantage of it.

Save two match points at 2-5*, save 3 more at 4-5 0-40*, get a break point but can't sneak it.

Lose 6-2 6-4. Really strong fight in the second, if they'd levelled up could have gotten very interesting...

It was getting pretty tense at the end - and they almost levelled it. Some great play from Naiktha - and Sam's last serving game was excellent.

They ran out of alternates - coincidence meant it was the top seeds who benefitted but it does reinforce the point about it being worth entering and taking a chance. Harder here with the bubble of course, but still

Makes the decision not to give Alicia and Olivia a WC even worse.

A 20 point game - saving 7 break points ! And a break in the second game.

Hopefully Beth will settle a bit now, she's looking nervous
