v good last month for Aidan. given me much higher hopes for his career after he looked to be stagnating a little. Hope George L can do something similar

Good to see you back posting here! It has been too long

I'm being a word pedantic here but please tell me when Anton was out of form, here's his activity from March 2020 www.itftennis.com/en/players/anton-matusevich/800373940/gbr/mt/s/activity/. He played 3 tournaments in 15 months plus pro series and I don't see a period where he was 'out of form' I see a period where he didn't play at all. Jay and Aidan hit a bad period where they really struggled to win, Aidan certainly found some form suddenly and so far it doesn't appear to be a flash in the pan, which is excellent,, jury is still out on Jay but certainly looking a lot better, Anton didn't play any matches so the next few weeks will certainly give an idea of where he is. Using a phrase 'picked up form' suggests that he had been playing but not getting results which isn't the case.

Actually Emmsie, you can't be a "word pedantic". Pedantic is an adjective. You are perhaps a "word pedant"

I'm sorry for being such a pedantic ****te!

Edit: My bad  language is Bowdlerised.  In place of the asterisks, there should be the letters t, w, a and then another t.

I did realise that that is what I should've written but I couldn't arsed to change it and I was quite interested to see if anyone would bother to post about it

I'm not sure that I can shagged to participate in semantic pedantry on a bulletin board that is supposedly devoted to tennis.  Pedantic and puerile muff that I am, I wonder if the American owners of this board arsed with intricacies of British vernacular. Muff is a pleasant town on the north coast of Northern Ireland.  I understand there is a Scuba club there, dunno what it is called...

Decent enough performance.

Mackenzie is just VERY solid, runs down absolutely everything, and was the better player overall.

But Anton should be pleased enough

Fab week for Anton. Showing us that there are definite signs of real potential beyond Jacky D.

Yes, really good. So need more to come through on the men's side.

Bit irritating that Bolt won this.

When Felix basically was 49:51 against him in QR1 (and should have had the first set, apart from possible umpire error)

And then Aidan was so close to beating him too....

(He also got two wins by retirement)

I quite like the bloke, having seen him play live a couple of times, but still a little irritating.....

A very profitable title to take as well considering it came with a WC to the Wimbledon main draw. So instead of guaranteed £8500 for QR1. £48000 for R1.
