Heather outclassed so far. First set not as close as scoreline suggests. Fingers crossed for better.

Heather loses the first set 3-6 but breaks in the first game of the second set.

Better from Heather and Jabeur has dropped her level quite a bit.

Best player, by a country mile, won.
Heather played some decent shots and served quite well at times but couldn't put a real run of points together and lost quite tamely in the end. Sums up where her game is right now. Did well to make the SF really.

Well, if you beat the wr 54 very comfortably
And then lost to the wr 24 very comfortably
I guess that makes you about wr40 or so.
Which I'm sure Heather would take
Especially given the rest of her year

Makes sense to me

Ons Jabeur - fresh from two singles matches earlier - and her partner Ellen Perez came from 3-6 0-5 down to beat Hsieh & Mertens 10-3 in the MTB.

As with Cam Norrie, massive respect for coming out to play a late doubles the night before going for your first ever singles title.
