It's the same thigh MCOS has had strapped for months but she is walking a bit carefully between points so may not end up seeing this out if Katie keeps her foot on the gas.

Superb. Martincova was pretty poor but Kiki was pulling out some good tennis. The girls really held their nerve and stayed strong. Well done! Very impressed by their response to losing 3 points in a row from *8-5 when it looked like it might slip away.
Jo's singles and Harriet/Heather in doubles are only Brits in action tomorrow.

To be fair, Martincova hasn't actually played a tour level doubles match since Novemebr 2018, and her singles hasn't been very good. Well done to Tara and Eden for taking their chances.
(I'm watching Katie, so didn't see any of that)
Nice win from Katie B; she looked in control from the first game onwards and although her opponent began to threaten in the second, Katie stayed solid.
I also watched Harriet v Emma - it is on iplayer, if anyone wants a retrospective look - I thought the addict summed it up perfectly - Harriet was a bit inconsistent, but maybe that was because she got on top very early and started to relax and lose focus.
Emma can take some heart that she took a few games off Harriet, but she looks a little rusty to me and I think she will be fortunate if she gets a Wimbledon wildcard. On that subject, I feel Harriet, Katie B and Fran have all done enough to deserve one, but Emma, Jodie and Naiktha haven't as yet, and Katie S is a borderline case, as her form in February was fantastic, but since then she has hardly played, and when she has, her results have been poor.
Everyone will be watching to see if someone unexpected does well here this week to come into contention for a wildcard, and it will be interesting to see how Matilda progresses in the Girls Singles in the French Open for the same reason.

Fran mentioned in the article on the beeb, apparently during her opponents MTO her body cramped up badly so nothing too sinister. If it's anything to do with her condition she could possibly ask for physio whenever there is an MTO under discrimination legislation. It wouldn't be a bad idea to allow players to have physio if the opponent is having an MTO or toilet break, might keep them all a bit more honest
