Both these three set wins have been fair scores - Harriet was the better player - not one-way traffic, but overall she was clearly the stronger, both times.
Potential FQR opponents have just gotten underway on Court 7 (on serve, early days). Not massively surprising since she was a seed, and the second match could easily have been more straightforward than the first, but on paper, it looks like her path through will probably go from hardest to softest as the draw progressed, regardless of who comes through this other Q2 match.

On paper easier than McNally but Harriet beat her a few weeks ago so I fancied her to win FQR but wasn't sure she'd make it there, thought Haas might be a stumbling block.

Yeah, i was thinking Haas could be tough, and while a bit lower ranked, and I was more confident, Talaba does have a few really standout wins for someone who has never cracked the top 200 before.
She did win the 2018 AO jr girls title, but is tiny, and not much to note on the pro scene yet, had lost 5 matches in a row before that early McNally retirement win, and was struggling at W15 level a couple of months ago. Currently ranked 295 - not sure if using a PR to get in, or her ranking has subsequently dipped since the entry cut off due to dropped points.
Edit - she was circa 240 around April, so it is points dropping. She does have a couple of decent wins this year, although Niculescu was 7 matches into her own 9 match losing streak when they met in March.

She was 256 on the rankings used for qualifying so must be in on a PR. Didn't play between Feb 2020 and Jan 2021.
