Week 21 - ITF (W25) Otocec, Slovenia Clay

And the second 3-6 :(

Apart from 10p at 7.5x, that's a really disappointing result

I know she's very young but Matilda really doesn't seem to be on a great run at the moment.

I wonder if her new Spanish set-up is trying to change her style/technique/tactics or something (not a criticism, it has to be done, but might possible be a factor)

Yep and could explain the current form of Goerge and Aidan, Aidan had a terrible run and then put in a nice run out of nowhere.

Yeah that's a poor result to be honest. Hopefully as you say CD it's a result of trying to bring in some new things to her game and it's not quite clicked, but that really is a match she should be winning regardless at this stage.

Well, that's well and truly put that previously mentioned odds theory to bed cry

It is indeed a bit of a bad run, she's now lost 12 of her last 13 sets.

Had she not have backed up that title last year with another final earlier this year then it could have maybe just a storming week out of nowhere in Spain, but 2 ITF finals for a 16 year old is impressive, and I guess if you are going to lose 6 matches in a row then at this stage is probably as good a time as any, and hopefully she is working on a few things.

Ranking must have gone up this week, because I always check on the ITF site when the draw comes out. Antalya points gone on ? Or just ITF running behind as usual ?
