It does feel like a missed opportunity. High seed both weeks, not the strongest fields you'll see on paper, bearing in mind she'd likely have just sneaked in to Prague W25 main draw last week, hard courts, new enhanced ITF points, but a net gain of only 2 points across both events. The fact she's 247, so touch and go for Wimbledon quals, and thus, could actually need a QWC, makes it a bit more frustrating as you would have thought it would be a decent opportunity for her to go on an extended run in one of the weeks and get that ranking nearer the 200 mark.
It's good that she has a W25 in the US next week (I think), so can quickly move on and another chance to accrue a few points at this key time of the year, but it will probably be tougher generally (field, surface etc.).
I agree. Main positive is that she isn't injured and is out playing. The mental side of her game needs some work. She's too hard on herself during matches I think. She has talent and fighting spirit but can they be harnessed together better?
What is the cut off date for Wimbledon qualifiers?
I think it will be a week on Sunday, although haven't seen official confirmation. If so, she'll basically have next weeks W25 as a chance to improve her current ranking. She's currently ranked 247, live ranked 245 (according to live-tennis). The French Open Q cut off is currently 228, but will probably stretch to around, and possibly just over 240, so if Wimbledon is similar, she will probably just miss out, if she doesn't have a significant run next week.
I know you're not a great fan of WCs, but if she does just miss out, then Wimbledon could reward her with a QWC and it will be fair enough - they are allowing a Brit a chance to at least play, which she wouldn't have had if she was from say Canada, but had she have just sneaked in, then there possibly would have been more chance that she got boosted to a MDWC instead (and another Brit down the rankings could have had that QWC), although that's obviously not an official rule.
Edit - actually, if the last chance to score points for Wimbledon is Sunday 23rd, and thus the lists come out a couple of days later, then she will have played her last event in terms of points scoring, as those US W25 points would be added to her ranking a week later.

I think they will give her a MDWC to replace the one she couldn't use in 2019 due to injury, especially as she is atleast playing tournaments at the moment. I'd be quite happy with Katie B, Jodie, Harriet and Fran getting MDWC, on the fence re Katie Swan and no to Emma and Sam Murray sadly due to lack of play.
I won't quote you Emmsie, as that chain is getting pretty big, ha, but yes, I'd be happy with those 4, injuries permitting, and hope they all get one. Possibly one more depending on if there were any standout runs in say Nottm, and still allows them to offer one to the likes of Snigur (reigning jr winner), sole W100 winner (if required), Venus (if required), someone like Konjuh etc. but from Wimbledon's POV, I think there would generally be less (social media) criticism if she was boosted from nothing to a QWC, as opposed to already being in a qualifying spot, but then overlooked for a MDWC, and she had a fantastic opportunity to well and truly secure a comfortable circa 230 ranking these past couple of weeks.
People will have their opinions on WCs, and that's fair enough, but as pretty much every tournament uses their full WC allocation, and give the vast majority of them to home players, including the other 3 slams, I would be pretty disappointed if we ended up with no more than 3 for GB players, especially as there are a lot more realistic candidates this year than last, when we ended up with 2.
I love Jodie's tennis, and had a pound on her to be top 500-250-100 from when she was 16. But I don't think she's 'hard' on herself - she's self-indulgent. I know it sounds cruel but she's not a kid anymore and it really is daft beyond belief. Being hard on yourself is somehow complimentary (the 'I'm a perfectionist, therefore I get so upset when things go wrong' argument which is nearly always just an excuse. Which - some think - sounds good. Because if you're a perfectionist, then just be perfect! And if you're not, try your damnedest to be perfect. Don't just do the normal work, turn up and then have a sulk when you're not playing very well. Sorry, sounds harsh, but she needs a different style of coach (and/or parents). With a bit of tough love, she could be top 100, I believe.
This, other than I haven't put money on her ranking.
