Week 24 - ATP 500 - cinch Championships - The Queen's Club, London (grass)

And an all Brits doubles still to come and also Cam in doubles - I know there is a separate thread (which I still disagree with!!) but it felt appropriate to post here after the other wins we have had so far

Shame about Liam, he could do with a couple of back to back wins coming soon. Not a complete shock regarding Sinner. Often players can get caught cold on the grass as it is so rare to play on it. But hopefully it is a springboard for Draper. I really like his honest assessment of where he is at in the interview on the BBC website. Sinner, and now Alcaraz Garfia, Musetti, Korda etc are all a long way ahead of him, but he does seem to have had his fair share of injuries.

That's your prerogative, Jon, but you clearly haven't see the vitriol that Jaggy heaps on the forum when he opens a thread expecting to see discussion of singles matches only to find that it's devoted solely or primarily to doubles matches.  In any case, with tournaments in which there is substantial British interest in the doubles competition (generally speaking, UK events & Grand Slams), the doubles results can often be swamped by the singles & you have to look back several pages to find the last mention - until, that is, the Brit singles players start dropping like flies & the doubles boys come to the fore!  wink

I agree with SC that seperate doubles threads are worthwhile in the sort of instances she mentions where there are large number of Brits. And really just when these are challenger level and above for our men or say ITF 60K and above for our women.

I think the separate threads of singles and doubles in the larger tournaments makes it cleaner rather than having several threads within the one thread topic

Stop ruddy apologising/ being so bothered about how your  not unreasonable posts are taken. It's often worth throwing a view out there and I doubt anyone  was negatively bothered (  unless someone who appears  to not want  doubles along  wuth any singles )

And please don't apologise for apologising. Maybe just chill away from the forum for the evening

All the best.

It's the grass it gets to all of us , and with so many tournaments at the same time it's just too easy to get overexcited.

I have a zoom meeting tomorrow afternoon that I will actually have to participate in, and I'm feeling a little queasy over the OOP....

So I'll be missing Dan - but why do I have to look on a betting site for OOP because the LTA just can't keep up ?

Happy to assume it's my issue but there's many opportunities to share and I've obviously not looked at any of the right ones.

I wouldn't go by the LTA, they can be very slow. Try the ATP website instead
