Where on earth did that come from? He's barely play d and was losing in Futures the other week, now he's beating a top 20er!

He was playing nicely once he got into it but v unimpressed with Sinner in the last 1.5 sets, really went off the boil

Brilliant, statement win. Hopefully Jack can stay fit and really show his potential the rest of the year.

If he wasn't set for Wimbledon MD WC already I think that this will settle that.

What a cracker

True, young Sinner didn't look too happy with life, but Jack looked super.

And especially given what the commentators were saying about him and covid, which I hadn't known.

I was already thinking that after just the first set

Shock of the tournament in the first match !
But I wish players weren't allowed to wear the same kit, watching on a phone was pretty challenging.

 I agree smile

wasn't brilliant, even on TV - should be like football teams - two different kits required.

Very impressive, and the better player on the day won.

Where does that put him in terms of ranking. Same as getting to a Challenger final points wise!

Super from Jack and as said apparently suffering from lingering effect of covid contracted in January has to be taken into account with earlier performances.

45 (net 42) points shows him now as live ranked 271 as against his CH 283 from August 2020 and, not turning 20 until December, into the under 20 yo top 10.
