No Emma in the main draw - I wonder if she'll just hold off until the grass now? Not seen if she's on any upcoming entry lists.

Emily and Lissey both with qualifiers this week.

According to https://itf-entries.netlify.app/#/ Emma is not entered anywhere, and withdrew from next week before the deadline.

That's a shame, was looking forward to her return.

Me too. A possible 10 points would have been nice, but I was mainly just wanting her to get a few 'proper' matches under her belt, sharpen a few tools, and get herself back on the radar ahead of the grass season. Missing an isolated W15 event in Israel isn't the end of the world, but it does just extend her absence that bit further, especially when there's no clear sign of what her next event will be.

Comfortable win in 50 minutes, without conceding a single break point.

Emily started brightly winning the first set 6-4 against the qualifier

but then lost the second 3-6.

She needs to forget the second set which she seems to be doing. She is 2-0 up in the deciding set.

Emily still not showing the form she had indoors at the beginning ot the UKPro league when she was beating everyone, including Beth and Freya. Hopefully she'll improve again and get that ranking up.

But that was the point. Beating 'everyone' doesn't mean anything in itself. There's not much 'form' in beating Beth and Freya and Eliz, who've all been playing at about 1000 level at best too.
