Playing well but needlessly smacking her racket at *5-1 0-15 for missing a backhand. Gets down on herself so quickly and for no reason.

Broken to 15 5-2*

Hopefully no Hesse-like implosion for her. A potentially very big couple of weeks for her.

Tuning in now.

Jodie won the first set 6-2, 5-4* in the second.

She was 4-1* up in the second, but opponent got it back to 4-4.

I was watching this and Jodie was well in control at 4-1 up, then missed a couple of shots got angry with herself and suddenly she was hitting everything out and it was 4-4. Pleased to see she's got it back together as I switched to watching Harriet.

Useful doubles score for Jodie as it replaces a 1 point score.

I'm kind of watching but not invested. Whenever I look Pigossi is at the near end and she doesn't seem to be playing aggressively, just playing it back and letting Jodie make the errors but as I said I'm not paying much attention.
