British Tour 2021

The next event is in Glasgow, starting tomorrow 11th July, at the Giffnock Tennis Squash & Hockey Club.

There are singles and doubles tournaments, but it is a Grade 2 event.

The LTA tournament website is a mess as usual, and has two entries for this tournament, at different venues. It alos can be very slow to load - some pages take over a minute !

I see that Will Nolan and Danielle Hack lead the British Tour points tables. Appears there are 2 premier level events , roehampton and Nottingham, coming up with 16 player draws. The calendar seems to stop in September, not sure if that is the actual end or just more events needed adding.

Two British Tour events going on this week - a Premier Event at the NTC and a Grade 2 in Ilkley

'The format for this British Tour Premier Tier event is a 16 player Men's and 16 player Women's draw: 4 round robin groups of 4 players played on Wednesday/Thursday (28/29 July) with top 2 players in each group going through to knock-out draw for Quarter Finals onwards, Friday to Saturday (30/31 July). This is an outdoor event and, due to NTC currently operating as a Paralympic indoor training environment, there will be no access to the indoor courts' (LTA website)

Eliz Maloney, Tiffany William, Jasmine Conway and Millie Bissett are the top 4 seeds for the ladies.
Patrick Foley, Toby Samuel, Michael Shaw and William Nolan are the men's top seeds

thanks cya - that is interesting, the round robin nature of the British TOur event - that 16 man/player structure is for me an improvement on the UK Pro League 12 player structure, good move, albeit for Premier only.

Ilkley field is weak, hadnt realised it was on but nothing to tempt me to go and watch i am afraid

There's a Premier event at Sutton next week. Always a good one to go and watch if you are in the area and is a friendly club that welcomes visitors. The event usually has a few ranked players, although not as good as it used to be. The full list of players is here

Many names from the UKPro Series

Not a name Id heard of until this week - a 2009er and as you say she is playing really well in the Cumberland G2,  serves well, comes to the net and is a decent volleyer. One to watch for the future??
