This girl's results looks impressive. She won a U16 cat 2 in Hungary a couple of weeks ago, and played in her first Grade 1 last week. She has reached the SF or F in 7 of the 14 juniors/U16/U14/U12 she has entered, winning 4 of the 5 finals she's been in. When she does lose it is to a top 3 seed or the eventual winner of the tournament. She beat Millie Bisset in a grade 2 last year 46 61 63.

Amanda won the 1st game and then lost five in a row. At that point she was winning 40% on 1st serve while her opponent was on 70% for 1st serve and 100% second serve. Amanda then won the 7th game and actually earned a break point in the 8th game before finally losing the set. There are signs that she may now be getting her game together.
It's a cracking comeback, but I can imagine that one extra point, just psychologically, would have made a big difference, if it was say 4-9 or 5-9. There, a dead net cord, double fault, unplayable winner, forehand error, and it's over, probably a different, on-edge mindset, but fantastic nevertheless. I saw it at 6-8, and was thinking the worst.
Hopefully she lands in a decent spot in the main draw, and can win and match or two. Possibly a case of playing better players earlier in smaller events, but her tournaments in general haven't been as good as 2019, or parts of 2020. where it was looking like she could maybe have pushed her ranking more towards grand slam quals contention.
Great comeback and decent wins but no more than we should expect of her at this level. Still you can do no more than beat the player on the opposite side of the net whoever they are.
Mind, I've just seen the Acceptance List, and while there does look to be a few withdrawals from the main draw, it's still a generally strong list, with 265 the highest in quals.
Kuzmova, who while off form for a while, had been a top 100 player for a few years, yet she is (possibly) here, and up to 9 other top 200 players, depending on withdrawals. At least there are a few extra points on offer these days, but a big contrast (rankings wise) to some of those W25 fields we saw in South America recently. Naiktha was seeded 4th and 5th in some of those events, yet here, she would have been in quals.
