Not another injury for Katie? Green Clay seems to be particularly dangerous.

Oh for goodness sake. Another retirement? Very frustrating, I hope she's ok.

Oh F*** Off this is getting beyond the joke now. Serious questions need to be asked about training and rehab at the LTA.

 I agree.

Hope Katie is alright but it's getting really frustrating trying to follow our players when none of them can stay healthy for more than a minute.

Take Andy out and Kyle as a long term thing and the men seem to do ok. Is it an issue on the womens training side, how is that structured and is there a fitness head we should look at? Or is it all down to the individual player at pro level and a sad coincidence?

All the points look fairly competitive, if she turns up in Ecuador next week Id say this is more tactical/avoiding a little niggle. Or so I hope!

Even including Andy and Kyle, when do you see our Men retire halfway through a match or withdraw after a couple of rounds on such a regular basis.  It's almost guaranteed that atleast one of the women will give a W/O or retire mid match every bloody week.

ETA I'd get better odds on them retiring than winning ffs

Why would she back out of a w60 semi to jack down to Ecuador for a w25?! Makes no logical sense in my eye. If injured , pull out. If not injured dont just throw this for a trip down to South America . Surely?!

I agree this is unbelievably frustrating. I had such high hopes for Katie this week but it seems we don't seem to have any female tennis players capable of getting through a full tournament. If they don't get beaten they retire!!

Agree with above, frustrating. On mens side we have had Dan, Cam, Liam and others making progress. I do wonder whether at this time of year with thoughts turning to sw19 those that will need a wc have an extra incentive to be extra careful over health/ fitness so they can appear at Wimbledon. It's a decent payday and kick starting a career/rankings rise if a round 1 win follows.

Ecuador is hardcourt and she is supposed to be there for 2 weeks although the chances of her or Jodie getting through both weeks are practically non existent. Maybe she wants a bit of time practising, I hope thats the case anyway.

Quite frankly I'd be making it clear if they can't manage a full tournament then they can kiss goodbye to any MDWC. Give them a qualifying one and if they can manage to string 3 matches together then fairplay
