Naa, sorry no mention of that in her WTA site 'matches' history

Err, good point.

And clay is her preferred surface.

I am seeing a tick by Claire Liu's name against Harriet - looks like Harriet has pulled out at the last minute.

Harriet's pull out now confirmed on the ITF website.

FFS A walkover. What is going on with these women. Fingers crossed it's illness and not yet another injury.

Still down for the doubles or it has not yet been updated.

I see that it has now been updated  and also shows a walkover.

Katie B looks to be in fine form (watching on the live stream) - a win here will give her valuable ranking points, and if she can actually win the tournament here, she would be up to something like 211 in the rankings.

It is sad to see Harriet pull out - I thought that today would give a good indication as to where her game is at, as we approach the clay at Roland Garros. Hopefully it is just a niggle and not something serious. Liu was a big prospect a couple of years ago, and although the expected progression hasn't happened for her yet, she would have been a very good opponent for Harriet today. Sad it didn't happen.

Katie B wins the first set 6-2 - lots of errors from Parks and not really much of a test for Katie so far.

Katie B closes out the second set 6-3 - a routine win; her opponent didn't really threaten her much and Katie seemed to lose concentration at times and drift through to a relatively easy win. Nice to see Katie dominating opponents so much, at this level.

Progress. If she can stay fit and put a couple more tournament runs together she'll soon be back in the top 100. Hopefully before the US Open

OER shows Katie up to WR255, up 38 places. As you say, she'll soon be back up there at this rate. She has a few low value counters to replace, but nothing to drop until November !

@GBtennis
Charlottesville W60: Sadly, Harriet Dart had to withdraw before her QF against Claire Liu USA , I hope the groin strain isn't too bad and she's able to be back in action soon - thanks to @TennisAtlantic
for the info

It's 6th seed Xinyu Wang up next for Katie as she has just come through her wind delayed battle of the teens with Baptiste. Interesting player, she's a bit like Ostapenko - hits really hard, but makes a lot of errors (right up my street). Jodie beat her in a lengthy battle late last year, so hopefully Katie can get the better of her too.

Looking forward to that one.

QF: DART, Harriet (GBR) 7 150 lost to LIU, Claire (USA) 172 W.O.
QF: BOULTER, Katie (GBR) Q 293 def PARKS, Alycia (USA) WC 276 6-2 6-3

SF: BOULTER, Katie (GBR) Q 293 (CH=82 2019) v WANG, Xinyu (CHN) 6 145 (CH=135 2020)

Wang is only 19, so is probably better than her ranking.

Yep, nothing coming off wifh Katie's 2019 lay-off.

Keep fit and well, she has the class to get back there. Though how soon? Current OER live points for 10/05 = 262 with WR 100 = 825. 96 points for the title here so a futher 61 points would help.
