Harriet and Kirstie Ahn into the Semi final after winning 7-6 6-1. Shocked to see Harriet is languishing in the 200's for doubles when she has been top 100.
Great results this week for Katie B and Harriet. Claire Liu should be a real test for Harriet tomorrow and a real step up in class from the other players she has faced so far.
SF:- Kristie Ahn (USA) / Harriet Dart (GBR) CR511 (284+227) v AnnaDanilina (KAZ) / Arina Rodionova (AUS) CR199 (127+72) [1]

Thanks. I wonder why they have done that? Possibly something to do with the doubles.
I guess it's probably better from a neutral GB perspective just hoping to watch a win, given the respective match odds, and Liu's form this year / week. Good luck to both.
Its interesting to see both doing well considering this is clay (I know green clay a bit more hard court like than red!) Its a pleasant surprise when most Brita are allergic...

I'm hopeful for Katie, Harriet, I'm not too sure as her opponent is in good form, a win tonight would be a good result for her. Either way atleast 3 singles matches and atleast 3 doubles matches plus some more clay tournaments to come before the FO should be good prep.
Yes, good tournament runs for Liu this year and with 5 top 200 wins but no top 150 wins other than by walkover. The last time she beat a top 150 ranked player was Dolehide WR 137 in February last year.
On bet365 : Heather 12/5 vs Liu 3/10 Katie 2/5 vs Parks 7/4
She beat Bara 6-2 6-0 yesterday Indy, which was an eye catching result, following a similar emphatic win in R1 over the (lower ranked) player who beat Naiktha in the FQR. Just 4 games dropped this week.

Naa, sorry no mention of that in her WTA site 'matches' history

Err, good point.
Yeah, she beat Storm Sanders a couple of weeks ago, one of those 150-200 players (but surprisingly 71 in the live race), so that was a decent win as well, but yesterday looks very noteworthy. I've no idea how it went, and whether Bara was hampered at all, but while it's not red clay, Bara is usually good on clay, so it definitely caught my attention, and has likely influenced those pre match odds.
I guess her late February win over Osorio Serrano possibly looks a bit better now as well, given what you young Colombian has done on the WTA scene since that match.
