Wins a win for Katie, will take it and hope Pacquet is ok.

Harriet strikes me as one of the players who will be particularly frustrated by the lack of the usual Asian hard court events at this time of year as an alternative to the clay. It's just not her surface.

Was that an "I've been playing for an 1 hour and 49 minutes already, i lost the first set, we've just started the second set and I've been broken, sod this" retirement?

Hope Paquet is OK anyway, and a not untypical battling performance by Katie, well done.
