Naiktha currently 6-2 4-4*, but has a BP to hopefully serve for the match...

She didn't break there, but did at 5-5, and has served it out. 6-2 7-5.

Plays Q14 Hanna Chang in the FQR.

Katie B a break up, 4-2 40-40*. Had double break point in this current game, not faced a BP herself yet.

She went from 5-3* to *5-6, but she has just taken the first set 7-6(7). Just checked back in to the score, so that was a nice surprise as I thought the first set might have been slipping away at that stage.

7-6(7) 6-1 and Katie through to the main draw smile

Osuigwe, Ahn, Kiick, Liu, Anderson, Hibi, Paquet, or Baptiste are her potential R1 opponents.

Naiktha currently in a MTB having split sets - 5-7 7-6(3) (not sure if any MPs were saved), and has just let a mini break slip, *5-5.

Lost 6-10 unfortunately. No MPs saved as she was never behind in the second set.

Ouch, that's a collapse and a half. I just checked back in at *5-4. I did look at sofascore to see how the second set went, but didn't notice the MTB summary. That'll hurt.

She's the second highest ranked to lose in the FQR, but doubt there'll be a LL spot opening up by tomorrow.

Katie gets Paquet in the main draw. She was fairly low down the Acceptance list, and ended an 11 (tour) match losing streak fairly recently (although has picked up a bit this year), so could have been worse draws I would have thought.
