I think it's fair to say that there is a huge contrast between the two overseas players competing this week. Danielle beats Angelina 6-1 6-1 in 50 minutes.

I must admit that I'm not at all surprised by the last two results, although I wasn't expecting such a close match from Emily.

Strong start from Jizel against Freya, 3-0*. Bar yesterday, she usually seems to start pretty well, but hasn't yet won a set. I'd quite like her to take this first set, but a long way to go.

*4-0 now. Only dropped 4 points thus far.

A more encouraging score from Katherine than some of her recent defeats, but Eliz comes through 6-3 6-4 (Kat was 4-2 *40-15 up in the 2nd set).

Freya won 0-6 6-1 10-5. I was kind of pulling for Jizel in the TB, and she was pretty aggressive - a lot of those points were on her racket. Still a really good effort for her though, especially after yesterday's drubbing. Possibly better for the league that Freya got the extra point, and it'll be interesting to see how she gets on against Katarina later in the week.

Aye, you'd think an event would be able to publish the results correct on their official site, given there's only 12 matches, but hey, ha. I just knew because I did catch the closing stages of that match.
