Week 15 - ITF (W60) Oeiras, Portugal Clay

Turned into a great set that could have gone either way, but just not the way we wanted.

6-7(5) *0-0

Second set ran away from them. Twice had 40-30* but couldn't break.

Lose 76(5) 61

Disappointing to lose but after a poor start it was actually a pretty good performance and an entertaining evening doubles match. 2 more 25ks in Oerias to come, so hopefully they can find some of that Portugal magic still.

Good luck to Fran tomorrow. She did well today.

Shame for Fran, tough field though. What is her ranking going to be now?

Glad she is chasing points than playing Fed Cup, to be honest

She's up to 384 points which OER and live-tennis agree is live ranked 190. That would just be up 2 places but still yet another CH.

Looking good. No significant drops until June, so scope to climb a bit higher.

Really impressed with Fran this year so far. Heres hoping she goes from strength to strength!

If she'd been included in the team she would probably have spent most of the weekend playing the tambourine anyway.

Burel made the final but pulled out before play started. Disappointing for the event which had done a great job and secured TV coverage.
