Forgive my variations on formatting - the OOP is copied off the official website, but the results are copied from sofascore as being easier to format for here.

So Tanysha has dropped out? Hope she's OK.

But, again, nice for Jizel to get a go.

Although coming straight against Emily App is not a nice draw.....

I didn't even notice that last night. I see she has had a few ITF matches over the years, but think this is the first time I've seen that name.

I also hope Tanysha is OK. Simply based on respective odds today, it's probably a like for like replacement. Tough assignment today as CD says, but she could maybe get a bit of joy later on the week, assuming she's here for the duration now.

I think Jizel was based out in Spain as a junior.

She played quite a lot of matches there (and Portugal) and was listed as a member of 'Club de Tennis Las Vegas' (and, without making assumptions, she presumably has Spanish family )

Not amazing results but probably played local tournaments too which I don't follow.

I once watched ten minutes of her on some livestream somewhere, wasn't blown away but hey....

She's got a nice serve, Jizel.

I think the commentator said she'd been injured.....

I see Freya beat Alice 6-0 6-1 earlier. Has the points system changed this year? I swear they said Sonay was now on 11, so not sure what you get for a straight sets win, possibly 3 for straight sets and 2 for a MTB, or has that always been the case?

Looks like somebody Fox has stepped in for Olivia today as she is on court with Millie at the moment.

It's Tiana Fox, just a young'un, never heard of her, but looks a numbers maker, 0-6.

Not sure what's going to happen with this group now. One of Annali, Jizel, or Tiana will likely finish 4th now. I'm not sure who Jizel plays tomorrow, kind of lost track, but if it's one of the 2 others mentioned, then based on one performance today, she'll probably have a decent chance of finishing 4th - unless Annali has been accruing points for her straight sets defeats earlier in the week? All a bit confusing really.

Yeah, its same as last year, 3 for a straight sets , 2 for a mtb win, 1 for a mtb loss, 0 for a straight sets loss

The scoring hasn't changed. Three points available - one per set, but a straight sets win gets all three. I'll have a look at the tables later this evening

Cheers both. I was more invested last year, and one of us would have had an updated table most days, but don't think I've seen a points table for a while, so lost track a bit, but makes sense.

I'm assuming that Millie won is straight sets, as I can't find the result.

This is what I think the tables look like at the moment - I won't swear that they are correct !

Table Day 4.JPG

Edit:-

Emily A should have 10 points, remainder match the official table

Tanysha and Olivia both withdrew after round 3, so should be discounted.

Thanks TA, yeah it was like 6-0 6-1 for Millie. Think Olivia should be on 6 points as she retired at 2-6 against Emily, so I assume she will get nothing for that, but then she's probably out of the competition anyway with not showing up today, likewise Tanysha.

It's Millie vs Jizel tomorrow, so unless Jizel can nick a set there, Annali will likely finish 4th by virtue of turning up more, which will in turn effectively give the person who finishes 3rd out of Sonay/Freya/Alice in the other a bye in to 5th-8th final on Sunday. All a bit of a mess that group, but almost certainly, like 99.9%, going to be 1) Eliz, 2) Emily if they both physically show up.

Good win for Danielle today, which should secure 4th for her, so by far the biggest match tomorrow looks like Sonay vs Alice. Sonay will just need one set to advance in the top 2, but will almost certainly need to take one, or otherwise she's relying on Nadia getting a set off Freya.

Sonay takes the first set 6-2 over Alice to get the one set needed to guarantee top spot in the group, but is now chatting to the physio.

Emily and Sonay get straight sets wins.

So it is Sonay and Freya who progress to the semis from Pool A.
Emily is through from Pool B, but Eliz needs just one set against Tiana to top the pool.
