I was just looking there CD, before I saw your post, and was going to say exactly the same. More of a fractions man, especially when it comes to very 'odds on' figures, but aye, Olivia at 1/10 (vs 11/2 or 6.5) is the closest on paper. Mind, when a couple of the field are in different groups, and thus, aren't playing each other, you're going to get that for 2 of your 6 matches straightaway, but it is what it is in that regard.
Emily vs Eliz (1/12 vs 6/1) looks the pick of the matches, and Eliz did go 2-1 last year (both MTB wins), but we've seen that match twice within the past 20 days, and both were 6-3 6-3, plus in edition to Emily's 2021 form, there's no real surprise that she's a big favourite. I guess a set for Eliz, in addition to her straight sets win yesterday would be seen as a decent enough return.
(The addict, as a sign either of boredom, indecision, or just 'what-the-hell', yes, I put 10p on Eliz - but also on Nadia, Tanysha and Kim! Got to be an upset somewhere was the logic...... So as Kim's 10p is already down the toilet, and Nadia's very likely to follow suit, my 'bucketloads' from Eliz is not quite so mega as it would otherwise be )
All good things come to an end, eh. Emily will be pleased that it came in the group stages and not on Saturday or Sunday. Now that Eliz has those 2 wins, against arguably her stiffest competition, the next key match will probably be Emily vs the winner of Millie and Olivia later today, assuming Olivia is feeling better.
I can't really work out Nadia. No idea what to expect when she goes on to court, so probably not even worth trying to guess, haha.

Nadia is a "Sport and Exercise Science Student and Strength and Conditioning intern at Loughborough University" - I'm assuming she doesn't want to become a fulltime pro tennis player. Which is fine. She plays a decent game. Pretty consistent level. She'll have a lot of options, I'd have thought, with her degree. But I don't think turning fulltime pro should be one of them (unless that's really what she wants to try for a few years, of course).

It's just a bit strange. You'd think she was a Kimberly or Annali looking at her first 2 results this week, especially the Alice hammering yesterday, when you consider both of her matches with Alice went deep into a MTB in weeks 1 and 2 this year, but that's literally 2 games won in 2 matches.
She's now 3-12 in the competition so far this season, so she is looking like one of the weaker players this year, but then she did generally do well last year. She was very active, qualified for the Classic week, and had some very good wins, relatively, - Emily Ap, Eliz, Beth, Emily Arb, Alice, Millie, Oliva, even Amelia R, so a bit a who's who in UK Pro League terms, also beat Danielle 4 times out of 4, or 8 sets out of 8, as mentioned a little earlier. It's just really work to work out where she fits in. She's probably a typical 4 or 5 in a group, depending on who is playing at the lower end, but she really must be the most inconsistent player to have played these events.
Yes, you make a good point. And I do remember seeing a couple of previous matches (one last year, can't remember which one) and thinking she played better than I'd expected. So maybe I'm being unfair........
But I agree with your overall conclusion - a sort of mid-group/lower-end-of-the-group player.

Must have got Olivia and Olivelle mixed up, as Millie has just beaten Annali, not Olivia, 6-3 6-0
Olivia currently a set and double break up on Tanysha.
But yeah, 5 of the 6 ties very much going the way of the odds when you see none of those underdogs going beyond 3 games a match, but fair play to Eliz for her great win earlier.
