There's been some sort of update on the site when you click through week 3, but more just a week 2 results update. I know it's Easter Sunday, but it's pretty late not to have a schedule / field up for the general public with it starting tomorrow morning.
So it's Sonay and Amelia B in for Beth and Kylie? Beth was always going to be absent, and while there's a couple of names I'd rather have seen those replacements for, I think it's better overall from my POV. 2 decent additions there.
I think they look pretty well matched in terms of group strength, which isn't always a case in these events. Good that they have split some of them up this week.
Court A
Not Before 11:15 Amelia Bissett v Eliz Maloney
Not Before 14:00 Emily Appleton v Olivia Nicholls
Not Before 17:00 Alice Gillan v Nadia Rawson
Court B
Not Before 11:15 Tanysha Dissanayake v Annali Olivelle
Not Before 14:00 Freya Christie v Kimberly Mpukusa
Not Before 17:00 Sonay Kartal v Danielle Daley

Sorry but I really don't agree. Second group looks way stronger imho
1- Appleton significantly better than Christie
2- Maloney better than Gillan
3-Bissett better than Kartal
4- Nicholls significantly better than Daley
6-Olivelle slightly better than Mpukusa
Only win for first group is Rawson slightly better than Dissanayake.

All about opinions I guess, but what's your 1, 2, 3 criteria out of curiosity? How you would personally rank them within their group (or is it how they are actually officially ranked in the group)? Sonay won one of these events last year, and also won a British Tour title (beating Emily Ap in the final, even if Emily is better this year) and went 18-6 on the GB scene in 2020 (defeats included Harriet and Eden), so I'd personally say she was better than Amelia B (at the moment).
It's kind of like splitting hairs with some towards the far bottom end, but if I was ranking the more top end, I'd say something like:
So in my opinion, you've got 1, 4, 5, 8 in one group, 2, 3, 6, 7 in another, which is pretty even. It will be Sonay's first event of the year, so there could be questions regarding her fitness, and where she is at, but if she shows a similar level to last season, then she'll be one of the better players in the field IMO.

I haven't check the rankings yet, and will add them in next time I post the tables. But I presume they are listed in ranking order, which in this case doesn't reflect ability. I reckon that this is Emily's to lose, with Freya and Eliz in second and third.
2-0 vs Freya (second pre match odds were 50/50), beat Eliz in straights (as the pre match favourite, as a possible gauge, even if Eliz might be more 'match ready' this week), pushed Eden and Naomi (who generally did well in these events) to MTBs, and just generally pretty consistent. If you have her like 5th, or even 6th, as perhaps SB has ranked her, then yes, the groups may look a bit unbalanced, but if you have her 2-4, assuming Emily is the clear #1, then it evens the groups up for me. Obviously a lot depending on where she is at given her layoff.
Edit - there's obviously some players on that list who you would clearly expect her to beat, a lot of them playing here this week, but I didn't actually realise Sonay was on a 10 match, or 20 set winning streak - not even in a tie break either in that period.
