The Southeastern Conference (SEC) Championships is currently ongoing; Women's teams at Alabama, Men's teams are at Arkansas.

The following 4 men's teams made the semi finals - Tennessee (featuring Brits - Giles Hussey, Johannus Monday) : Florida (featuring Brit Josh Goodger); South Carolina (Toby Samuel, Connor Thompson) and Texas A&M . Link here www.secsports.com/championship/mens-tennis

Women's teams in the semis - Tennessee (featuring Esther Adeshina); South Carolina (featuring Megan Davies); Texas A&M and Georgia.

The Tennessee lads defeated South Carolina so they progress to the finals on Friday 23rd April  against Florida , but the Tennessee women's team lost to Conference leaders Georgia in the semis. South Carolina women's team also lost in the semis to Texas A&M.

So there will be 3 Brits featuring in the SEC men's finals - Tennessee v Florida (Giles, Johannus and Josh Goodger) , but no female Brits in the SEC women's finals.

Worth mentioning that Johannus Monday has been stellar at Tennessee and has been named SEC Freshman of the week on a record 7 occasions.  Toby Samuel has been doing well at South Carolina too and was named Freshman of the Week once.  Thank you for that in depth update and good luck to all 3 Brits in that final, let us know how it turns out?

when are the NCAA finals this year, that Paul Jubb won a couple of years ago, and presumably they have both individual and team events at that? Any Brits lined up to take part this year?

Epic final with the top two seeds of the conference battling it out. Florida was the top seed having won the regular season title and Tennessee was the second seed. All Brit lads turned up for their teams winning their matches( Johannus and Giles won at no.2 and 5 singles respectively for Tennessee and Goodger at no 6 singles for Florida). Tennessee raced ahead with a 3-0 lead , only for Florida to claw it back to 3-3, but Tennessee got the last singles win  to lift the SEC Championship title.

The 48th-ranked Liberty Flames secured the 2021 ASUN Men's Tennis Championship title today defeating FGCU 4-0 for their first ASUN title. Brits are Deji Thomas-Smith and Josh Wilson. Deji was named to the ASUN All-Tournament team, so a fantastic tournament for him!

Liberty recently opened their new tennis facility. The $5 million project was made possible by a donation from an anonymous donor and took about a year and a half to complete. The facility boasts six state-of-the-art tennis courts and seating for 100 fans. The coach has been looking to build a winning team over the last few years and the new facilities are great, but the religious nature of the uni and strict rules can be off putting for some....

Megan Davies (South Carolina) was named to the SEC All-Tournament Team at the recently concluded SEC Championships. For those not aware, the All-Team Tournament award is an honor bestowed at the conclusion of the Conference championships to the players judged to have performed the best during the championship game. About 6 players are usually selected across the teams , with one of them named the MVP Most Valuable Player of the tournament.

2019 winners the Monmouth Hawks Mens Tennis program has claimed the 2021 MAAC Mens Tennis Championship Title by defeating Fairfield University 4-2. The Hawks will advance to the NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championship.

Brits on the roster: 5th year Max Benaim, Senior Will Cooke-Wharton and Freshman Charlie Penman.
Great to see Will back in action as he was out injured earlier in the semester. The Hawks won the doubles points as they had victories from the pairings of Will Cooke Wharton and Charles Gortzounian and Victor Castro and Lucca Silva taking the games 6-4 and 7-5 respectively. Will lost his singles and Max Benaim (No. 2 singles) went to a third set....

2019 champions Middle Tennessee return to win conference USA

Doubles: No. 2 with Brit, Chris Edge and Tom Moonen, who eased to a 6-2 victory.
At #4 Singles Chris Edge lost just two games in doubles and decided that was too close for comfort as he lost just one game in singles, winning 6-1, 6-0. This all coming after nearly being scratched with a banged-up wrist.

Thanks for all these great updates everyone! Can I ask, are these just team events or do we get conference titles for individual singles and doubles to follow?

I was reading through NCAA Division One winners list on wiki. As well as Paul Jubb two years back, Lloyd Glasspool won doubles in 2015, which is the only British win previously. No womens winners.

These are team events, there are no conference titles for individual singles and / or doubles.

The NCAA in May are for teams , individual singles and doubles . The selection criteria for the 2019 singles and doubles was posted earlier , however unsure of the criteria for 2021, but we'll know pretty soon enough

16-22 May - Team Championships

23-28 May - Singles and Doubles Championships

The most recent men's singles rankings are in the link below (end of season rankings will be posted on Wednesday 28th ) and there are a few Brits featured in the top 60  - Johannus Monday, Alistair Gray, Hamish Stewart, Connor Thompson , Millen Hurrion, Arthur Fery and James Story. Obviously these rankings will change on Wednesday 28th and will be used to determine the NCAA selections  - so wait and see.

https://www.wearecollegetennis.com/2021/04/21/oracle-ita-division-i-mens-singles-rankings-april-21-2021/

For the womens singles - Indianna Spink, Megan Davies and Bronte Murgett feature in the top 70 rankings. Wednesday will see the final set of rankings.

https://www.wearecollegetennis.com/2021/04/21/oracle-ita-division-i-womens-singles-rankings-april-21-2021/

Some Brits also feature in the doubles ranking.

In summary, some of the players mentioned might feature in the individual singles and doubles championships (most likely the men's ) but it's dependent on the end of season rankings on Wednesday and the NCAA selection criteria.
