Following he ITA Kickoff Weekend qualifiers, the top 16 women's and top 16's men's college teams compete in the main winter season tournament later this week - the National Indoors in snowy Michigan.

Each team is guaranteed at least 3 inter college match ups (each 6 singles & 3 doubles matches) so a good chance to evaluate the teams and players at the start of the dual match season proper, which culminates in the NCAA championships (team & individual) in May at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida.

British interest in some of the teams (team seedings shown in brackets):

Auburn (14) Georgie Axon

Cal (4) Erin Richardson

Florida (13) Alicia Dudeney

North Carolina State (6) Nell Miller, Amelia Rajecki

Old Dominion (17) Sofia Johnson

Thanks Tennpar! Dont we have any men in this event at all?

Happy to do do the guys too - just giving EP a chance first, since he often does them smile

Thanks Tennpar - good strong set of players there, to add to the womens. Is Ben Draper related to Jack, or is that coincidental?

Keen to see how Arthur Fery is developing, clearly he is the standout player after last seasons exploits...

Yes, many thanks, Tenpar

Had no idea Millen (age 22) was over in the States - that sort of passed me by (I'd been wondering why he wasn't in the GB events at the moment)

There's a couple guys there that I've got a soft spot for.

Obviously the big names like young Arthur Féry (our own little Frenchie)

But also Hamish Stewart - one of my best tennis memories, seeing him beat Moutet at the Bank of England club.

I like Jake Fearnley too

Anyway, good luck to them all - that's a nice batch of players

Ben is Jack's older bruv. Graduated from Cal & presumably now doing a Masters at Wake Forest.

 Thanks, cya.

Great guns by Arthur. Allez, les gars !

Go, Hamish (as above)

Love our Spanish-based Max too, after seeing him last summer on livestream in one of the UK Pro events (or whatever they were)

Seagull will be thrilled about Lui

And a soft spot for Tad too.

Really good to see our lads over there doing well

There are live feeds for the women's college tennis match at the indoor team finals in Wisconsin - I'm currently watching Alicia Dudeney playing at No 2 for University of Florida - she won the 1st set.

To get the ITA live stream (which is pretty good) you need to set up a free Playsight account. Live scores also available from the ITA website.

Go Alicia !

She has such a mega run at the junior Wimbledon championships

(and I enjoyed seeing her play live at Surbiton last year at the Nationals)

Alicia won her doubles match and in fact Florida won all 3 doubles matches and therefore took the doubles point. Virginia won 4 of the singles matches to go through 4-2. Alicia's singles match was suspended at match point (6-2, 4-6, 3-5) once Virginia took the 4th singles point. Florida playing Ohio State, another unranked team, in the consolation match, which is poised at 3:2 Ohio at the moment (Florida got the doubles point), with Alicia's match into a 3rd set. Florida are up break in both 3rd sets in the final two matches currently.

Cal through to the last 8 and to play Pepperdine ranked 5.

North Carolina State through to the last 8 and have just started play against Georgie (3)

Continuing the Women's National Team Indoor Championships:

NC State went down 1-4 to North Carolina, the No 2 seeds. Nell got a win in doubles and was 4-2 up in the 3rd set tie break in singles (against 19th US college ranked Fiona Crawley), only for the match to go unfinished as the University of North Carolina sealed their 3rd singles to take the victory.

UNC will play Oklahoma (8) in the final shortly - no Brits in the final.

Auburn took a loss in their consolation match 3-4 against Ohio State with Georgie again taking wins in singles and dubs.

Cal lost their consolation match 4-1 loss to Texas, with Erin contributing to Cals solitary point for her win in one of the two (of three) dubs matches.

Sofia Johnson won singles and dubs in the 4-2 Old Dominion win over Wisconsin.

Alicia's matches were both unfinished in Florida's 4-0 win over Washington.
