Hudd and Mitsui, after advancing out of the qualifying round earlier in the week and reaching the semifinals with six consecutive wins in Tulsa, fell to Ohio State's Robert Cash and Matej Vocel Saturday, 2-6, 4-6.
This guy covers all college players, not just UK ones (of course!). I don't think we have any current ones this week (although LOTS of ex-college players - led by one CAM NORRIE ). But 32 across 4 events is certainly a lot.

There are 32 collegians in main draw singles action this week across 4 ITF events in the United States. I break it all down in my new, weekly series called "Collegians on Tour":
Regionals continue 14-17 Oct https://www.wearecollegetennis.com/events/ita-d1-regionals/#men
Quarterfinalists in singles and semifinalists in doubles advance to the super regionals
Division I Men 2021
Atlantic
Regional #1 @ Liberty Oct. 14-17 View Tournament 64 main draw DejiThomas Smith (Liberty) and Oliver Nolan (grad transfer from UNC Ashville to Old Dom) both through to round of 16
Regional #2 @ Navy Oct. 14-17 View Tournament 128 main draw Andrew Rozanov (Georgetown) reached R64, Sam Bossem (Penn State) reached R32, James Wilkinson (Delaware) through to R16
In this weeks Regionals, the only Brit through to the last 8 giving him a place in the Super regionals is Liberties Deji Thomas Smith. Nolan, Wilkinson, Maxted and Bass were all defeated in the round of 16 in their respective regionals.
Apologies if I have missed anyone, not all links are live on the ITA site.
Thomas-Smith will be joining teammates Josh Wilson, Rafael Marques Da Silva and Christiaan Worst at the Super Regional. Wilson and Marques Da Silva automatically qualified for the event in singles. Thomas-Smith and Worst received an automatic bid in doubles. Thomas-Smith will be the only Flame competing in both doubles and singles.

In the Div 1 ITA Regional Championships, a few regions seem to have regional events late Sept/early Oct with super regionals later in October, whilst the rest just have regionals late October.
In the Mountain regional held at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas, results are not on the ITA site, so my knowledge is a little sketchy, so apologies to anyone I've missed. Megan Forster (Colorado) went out in the QF of dubs and Ellie Millard/Mimi Bland (Northern Arizona) play in the last 16 of dubs today
In the Southern super regional held at the University of Alabama, Georgie Axon (Auburn) into R16 in singles and will play again today . In dubs, Charlotte Russell+ (Tulane) won through one round, as did Olivia Elliot+ (University of Las Vegas). Georgie Axon +, as number 1 seeds, got through 2 rounds but lost out in the QF. Kasia and Ola Pitak lost out in 2nd round dubs, whilst Ola won one round in singles.
Texas regional at Texas Christian University, Fort Worth, Olivia Peet+ (Texas Tech) won a round of dubs. Kate Malazonia (Texas State), lost 1st round dubs but good to see her in a new team after hers folded.
Southeast regional at University of Southern Florida - more British interest here. Ellie Aldrich/Maddy Frediani (Georgia State) went out in qualifying dubs to Alicia Dudeney+ (University of Florida), who later won through 3 rounds of main draw dubs into the SF. Vic Allen+ (Florida State) as no 1 seeds, beat Summer Yardley+ (North Florida), then lost out next round. In singles, Millie-May Matthews (Florida Atlantic) came through qualies, then lost to Kylie Bilchev (Georgia Tech), who then dispatched Eden Richardson (Miami) in a tight 3 setter, before falling to the No 1 seed in R16. Alicia won through 2 rounds of singles and Vic Allen one. Summer Yardley (North Florida) went out 1st round to Mahak Jain (Georgia Tech) - one of the Indian girls who won the LTA's 14u Road to Wimbledon a few years ago.
The remainder of the women's regionals (Carolina, Ohio Valley, Midwest (a super regional), Central, Southwest and Northwest will start later this week.
Destinee Martins+ (JuCo) took the ITA Cup doubles title (previously known as the Small College Nationals).
Lovely to read all those familiar names - great that Mimi Bland and others I haven't thought about for years are still playing. And cute that the Pitak sisters are still playing together
The new recruits, like Alicia Dudeney and Kylie, sound like they did rather well.
So, as of today, 18th Oct, 2021, our two top male players (singles and doubles) are both products of the US college system.
Well done to Cam and Joe for bearing the torch for US college players
And, while we're here, we've had a sudden spurt from other US college players too, with Ryan Peniston and Paul Jubb hitting new highs in the top 500, and looking like they're going places.
AND then Ali G, Henry Patten, Charles Broom, Dan Little etc who all have been showing some amazing form (and Giles Hussey especially for next week's rankings)
Tom Thelwell Jones (TU) out first round of 128, Matt Clegg (Drake, transfer from Iowa) fell in R32 to #15 seed. Will be interesting to see how Drake fare next season after mopping up a couple of Brits from Iowa. Allegedly Oliver Okonwo never transferred, choosing to remain at Iowa for his senior year despite them not having a mens tennis team.
Singles - 32 draw: 8 quarter-finalists from Liberty Regional, 8 quarter-finalists from Navy Regional, 4 players from UVA, 2 players from VT, VCU and Liberty, 1 player from PSU, ODU, W&M, Navy, and Temple, 1 WC for host site
William & Mary men's tennis junior George Davis won a pair of matches to reach the quarter final (played later today).Qualifier Deji Thomas Smith (Liberty) lost in R16 to #6 seed. Automatic entry was awarded to Josh Wilson (Liberty),. Wilson won his opening round match in three sets at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center versus host ODUs Nicola Vidal, 7-6, 1-6, 6-4. The Flames junior advanced to face No. 8 seed Marin Delmas of Temple in an afternoon round of 16 singles contest. Delmas bested Wilson 6-2, 6-3.
There also appears to be some round robin matches separate from the main draw . James Wilkinson (Delaware) defeated Oliver Nolan (Grad transfer to Old Dom) 7-5, 7-5
Sebastian Harris (Gardener-Webb) and Daniel Martin (Elon, transfer from Minnesota) out R128Alex Zucherman (out in R64), Connor Thomson, and Toby Samuel#2 seed (USC) each earned their third singles wins of the tournament to move into to the round of 16.
Draw not updated a number of Brits will be playing in this event

Matt Carroll (UNF) out Qualies R64. MD Josh Goodger #7 seed and Hamish Stewart (Uni Georgia, grad transfer from Tulsa) both out first round.
Interesting quote from the coach in there. "Giacomo went on to do such great things academically got into UCLA on his own and then contacted me late summer, early fall. He wanted to join us as sort of a last-minute addition to our roster"
I assume that means without any athletic scholarship? Not the usual route.
