Apologies

I agree with everyone and its all cool. Rosamund and I have spoken privately and all is good.

I need to probably not to be so sensitive, man up as my wife would say.

As an aside , anyone else had this - yesterday I woke up and was just drained, every bone ached, washed out, tired as can be, couldnt eat a thing. Went to bed at around 11 last night which is early for me. Today, feel right as rain, could run a marathon Id say, never felt better. Eating a horse on the menu Id say.

Seems bizarre, can you get 24 viruses that swap so quickly ?!

Yes, felt the same as I did after the jab 2 weeks ago, feel fine now but Son is now sleeping after vomiting earlier so I think I had a lucky escape from the worst of it.

JonH - I echo what everyone has said above - you're never offensive or controversial. We all have opinions, rightly or wrongly, and there's nothing wrong with stating them. So carry just as you were.

Ditto (missed out) and agree with the Addict! Life and indeed this forum, would be duller than lockdown if people didnt have different opinions... There are a few people on here who try to be a Smart@ss, but less emphasis on Smart.....biggrin

I am so glad your wife said it if I had said that in my house I would have had a testicle removed without anaesthetic. Grittiness is the term I am aloud to use. Just about managing to hang onto them both, the testicles, greeting this morning alright boomer you taking me for a drivin lesson. Nice

hope you enjoy the rest of the day. Just witnessed a fabulous rendition of the Albanian national anthem

Its weird , I had the jab 10 days back and felt a bit achy the next day but broadly fine, but yesterday boom! Can there be a delayed reaction?

Apparently so, it's just your immune system ramping up.  I have heard that some people get waves of symptoms and that makes sense as they say that the immune respsonse builds over a few weeks.  If its any consolation I had the jab 2 Saturdays ago, felt rough Sunday, fine by Monday

I had the jab 8 days ago, saturday last, felt rough last sunday, headache, very tired, washed out, more or less ok monday, but very tired at times both yesterday and today after any activity. Considering they reckon your body takes 2 to 3 weeks to build immunity it wouldn't surprise me if we get delayed effects. Gives me an excuse to watch and check sport results, football, cricket as well as tennis. Good to see a Leeds player in an England shirt, not quite sure who the last one was. My Leeds supporting as a Southerner started with the run to european cup final in 1975, most matches I've watched have been away matches in the south, where when Leeds score you realised  just how many Leeds supporters were in with the home fans....not always such a good idea.

I like the differing opinions on here, there are a couple of regular controversialists, if that is a word, but I enjoy finding out others opinions on players, as well as contributing when I feel I can.

Thanks Emmsie and Spireman, that all makes sense and is quite reassuring in fact !

I wanted to say, I have a habit of upsetting folks on this forum. My opinions are often Ill informed I agree and a lot of people have strong likings for players that I often have poorly judged perspectives on. Like much of life, it is likely I wrong

I enjoy my polls and it entertains me so I think from this point I will limit my musings to those and the mens game , which I know a little  more about and not get caught up in the womens game where I know very little of worth and where others hold players, quite rightly , fondly in their hearts. Its good to be a fan, I respect that and will avoid running the risk of upsetting anyone by sticking to what i know.

You dont upset me Jon.  Ever.  Now I feel left out (and a little bit upset too, so every cloud and all that....)

This is a message board, not real life as they say, so please PLEASE keep posting Jon

It would be a bit of a shame if only those who were tennis experts or who worked in the sport were allowed an opinion on here.  The general informed/uninformed/misinformed chat on here from a good variety of people, who all in their various ways want to see the Brits do well at every level in a sport they love, I find really uplifting and interesting.  Maybe I've had a bit more involvement in the sport than some but I genuinely find everyone's opinion on here interesting, even when I disagree with it wholeheartedly.  The only posts I dislike are those from others who claim a lot of knowledge and dismiss or belittle other's posts rather than engaging in a more meaningful way.  Keep on posting!!!

Apparently you only need to really worry if you have a severe headache lasting a few days, anything else is pretty normal.

Only just picked up on this thread - just to endorse others who have said no need to apologise. Your views and comments are welcome and informative and interesting. The only debatable point is your support of Leeds - as a Chelsea fan since the 70s this is completely unacceptable!!!

Cheers and keep on posting. We all support British tennis players and want them to do well.

About time you apologised. All this time sponsoring/ managing competitions that my chosen players never win.

-- about forum content -

I have shamed myself into apologies before now, but that is because I am often offensive - I can't recall that being the case with you. (Leeds excepted)
