Just realised, far too late, that there was some sort of coverage on this FB page. Not sure how good quality / angles it would have been, but perhaps worth checking out for tomorrows final.
I just noticed that Urszula was knocked out in the first round here by Zakharova who Jodie has just beaten. Make what you will of that in relation to Hatouka !

Hatouka is in great form, as had been noted, and it'll probably be a 50/50 type match tomorrow, but considering there were 14 top 250 players in the field, it's strange how Jodie hasn't faced any of them en route to the final, and Zakharova was the only player with a 2 (or less) at the start of her ranking that she will have faced all week.
Hmm, you can currently see the 2nd doubles match on that Facebook stream. Bit of a weird camera angle, and no scoreboard, so could be a tough watch, but if it's the same tomorrow for the singles final, then it would be better than nothing.
Jodie has 31 (Q+RU) points from the Bolton 25K in the same week in 2019 which I think will be coming off, so limited rankings upward potential for now. Though certainly at least up a bit if she can take the title.
Jodies opponent in the final is the Belarussian qualifier Yulia Hatouka. She was top seed in qualifying and is currently ranked 300.
However she has been in tremendous form this year, having played four tournaments - W15Shymkent (won), W15 Shymkent (runner-up), W25 Moscow (runner-up), W25 Kazan (won)
Edit:- Her opponent in those two W25 finals was Urszula Radwanska, who is currently ranked 218.

Didn't Jodie beat a player on a long winning streak in South Africa before her injury?
I think you mean Carolina Meligeni Rodrigues Alves who won 21 out of 22 matches (one losing final) between November and February before losing to Jodie ine QF. All but the last tournament were W15's though.
