Week 12 - ITF (W25) Buenos Aires, Argentina Clay

Fran's battling qualities are quite something - her guts and fighting spirit are probably her strongest attribute right now and I'm sure her fightbacks will have been noticed by quite a few other players and will be causing quite a few to think 'oh no' when they see her name in the draw.

I wonder how far she can get in her career - her mental strength makes me think quite a long way. Well done Fran once again.

Really good to see two British women winning. Both have tricky but winnable next round matches too.

Five wins out of five for GB ladies so far today. Just need Hev to complete the set.

Just seen this....so now we know whose fault it is that it wasn't 6 out of 6!!!!

No play today. 2nd round and QFs tomorrow. Could maybe be beneficial to Fran given her long match yesterday.

There's been play today, and Naiktha has started. *3-4, but 2 breaks each already. Match before Fran has gone into a decider.

Naiktha 5-7, 3 breaks to 4.

The match before Fran has just finished.

Naiktha 5-7 *1-4

Fran underway with a hold apiece, 1-1*

If Fran does come through, she'll have the task of trying to end Parrizas-Diaz' impressive 16 match winning streak (all at W25 level, and 3 titles) later today, as she has just come through her R2 match.

Wow, that set slipped away fast. She was looking threatening to break at 1-1 the last time I checked 15 or so mins ago.

Naiktha lost 5-7 2-6 against the 3rd seed, but she was a big 4/1 pre match underdog.

Fran was 4-2 *30-15 up in the decider, but now Perrin has a chance to serve it out at 5-6*.

Someone else has just this moment secured her semi final place, while this 2nd round match is still on going...
