Absolutely great win for Dani Daley over Beth Grey, in a MTB
Didn't see the match but pleased for Dani because I thought she'd been playing well this week, and with a decent win over Kylie already, this now takes her week up to another level.
ADD: just crossed with the addict's post. But certainly a result that should stand out so worth a couple of mentions.

Yep, you certainly can't knock her results in these two events, convincing wins, and very consistent, and while she generally did well at the domestic exhos last year, reaching a lot of SFs, there is a notable contrast in her results against the same players.
So, comfortable wins against pretty much everyone in 2021, bar Freya, who she beat on a MTB, but then backed it up by dropping just 4 games a week later, and other pretty comfortable wins against Beth, Alice, Eliz, Nadia,
Whereas in 2020 she lost to Eliz, Nadia, and Alice in the same St GH week (all on MTBs), also losing to Eliz later in the year at the BT. Hopefully she can transfer this form to the tour when she returns to it, and move away from that 600-700 group of 4 or 5 players, and push more towards the 300-400 range.
As mentioned before, Emily App has made a big deal about the yoga that she's been doing since lockdown started, and the benefits that's brought her, in particular re mental calmness etc. etc.
And, yes, it would be wonderful if she could take that into her ITF events.
Really hope Emily can get back to ITFs and just play her best game without particular pressure. Ranking rises should then follow.
I saw her listed for Week of 5/4 in the W25 In Argentina, bit odd because she withdrew from the one the week before and she would've got in to qualifying, Seems a long way to go for 1 tournament but on the otherhand if she can clean up at these home tournaments ala Billy Harris it's a nice cash cushion to then go out and play a solid few weeks on the tour.
