Week 11 - UKPro League - Week 2, Loughborough (Indoor Hard)

Eliz goes one better with an 0 & 0 win.
Question is, can Kim avoid the same fate against Emily ?

Lissey is in Egypt, so that accounts for her absence

6-2 6-0 for Emily App over Kim M

Bit brutal for Kim to kick off against last week's winners - some of the matches for the lower places will be more interesting for her.

However, as mentioned above, Annali and Kim really are a long way off the level here.

With A-levels this year and exams cancelled, I doubt we'll see Emma much, if at all, until she's done what she needs to do for the teacher assessments.

Regarding earlier comments about the field, Kylie B is not a junior now, born 2002. Also Amelia B. is in dominican republic in junior itf g2. Regarding those at American Uni, well, they are at American uni, so can't be in loughborough as well. I think there are some rules about juniors playing. Last summer with pro series I thought they were limited due to betting co. sponsorship, but possibly this time could be covid related? I also thought we may get eva shaw in this, as its loughborough. It is different to last year as real (points) tournaments are taking place and us colleges are back, also if you arent based in Midlands somewhere near loughborough it may be difficult to play without getting overnight accommodation which is not allowed, unless there would be an exemption.

Kylie is still a junior, born 2003.

I haven't managed to see any of their matches, but Tanysha, and particularly Nadia were good value at last years event, but both have been struggling massively over the past couple of weeks - a huge contrast in their results, often against the same players they were having relative success against last year. Not sure if they were punching above their weight then, or the opposite here, or a bit of both?

Accommodation must be available, for Emily A is based in Surrey, and I'm sure some of the others are from around the London area as well

As tharris says, Kylie is 2003 born (24th Feb 2003, in fact), not 2002, and so is indeed a junior.

She was the main player of interest in the last event, really, making huge strides as the event went one. (Although Emily App's better form was also good to see). The rest were very much as predicted.

Sorry, my mistake. I thought she was autumn 2002 for some reason.

I'm sure most of these results were expected but that really makes for pretty sad reading.  In the top 5 matches the losing players only mustered 7 games between them. Each one probably over in around 40-50 minutes?
