Fingers crossed for Harriet - she has been struggling for form for quite a little while. I have been wondering why.
It is a while since we have seen the Harriet that was pushing hard for a top 100 place and was playing really well, and I fear her ranking and career is in danger of sliding backwards, if she is not careful. At her best, I feel she is a top 100 player, and I just hope she can string some results together and get her career moving again.
Anyway I am watching her results closely (but with some trepidation I think). Last night's result was disappointing - let's hope the reprieve helps. She comes across as a lovely person and it would be great to see her firing on all cylinders once again.

I agree, Harriet is my fav brit, not the most talented but certainly very focused. There seems to be a real issue with the Brits at the moment with stringing a few weeks of competition together. I'm wondering if the constant training is what is causing the injuries. Probably have less issues if they just played more and trained less
Buzarnescu has taken the first set on the TB in the battle of the PRs who have seen better days. Strange to think that Vandeweghe was ranked 16, and Mihaela 28 at Wimbledon 2018, but both have had a really tough couple of years.
Harriet follows this match on Centre Court. The field here generally lacks star quality / names (you'll struggle to find players for a poster) and is pretty weak for a 250 (even if there is a 1000 running alongside it) with 91 being the 8th seed, but an Aussie qualifier vs a British LL seems a random match to have on Centre Court. There does appear to be one or two people scattered around the stands, so not sure what the crowd situation is here.

30 points, on top of the 12 FQR points would go down nicely. Harriet's lowest two counters appear to be 8 and 2.
I believe with WTA rankings it is one or the other for LLs - ie. any MD points won replace their FQR points.
Actually, they do get both. The WTA Rulebook 2021 states "Lucky Losers earn Main Draw ranking points based on the highest round reached in the Main Draw plus the ranking points earned in Qualifying, unless they lose in the first round of the Main Draw, in which case they receive only the ranking points earned in Qualifying."

So 12 points or 42 points.
Ha thanks, I do see that for instance Misaki Doi got both in the recent Adelaide and Doha tournaments.
I wonder if that changed for 2021 or was just a figment of my imagination.

I think you are right, they have changed it. The wording in the 2019 and 2020 rulebooks is different.
