Week 10 - ITF M25 - Vale do Lobo, Portugal (hard)

QR1:  Josef Southcombe UNR vs Tom Paris (FRA) UNR

QR1:  Russell Henderson UNR vs Gianmarco Amatiste (ESP) UNR

Max Andrews is 11th on the qualies list, Southcombe fifth on the qualies ALTs list.  Wonder whether Max has sneaked into the main draw...

Interesting French name - Tom Paris.

Glad he made it back from the Delta quadrant.

Are there any Voyager viewers left, Bob?

Spot on, SC, Max Andrews is indeed in the MD, on a wildcard, with due thanks to the powers that be there

R1: Max Andrews (GBR) 1234 v Quentin Robert (FRA) 473

Quentin is, obviously, a lot higher ranked than Max. But he's been having a pretty skinny time of it lately, barely got a win this year.

However, Quentin did beat Max very convincingly back in December, on his way to the final.

So, would be nice if this year's form continued just a little longer.

Glad to see good ol' Tuna Altuna in the doubles here - and indeed he took the title last week in Faro.

Still going strong, it seems !

Although I'm not sure 'strong' is good word in a fishy sense.....

Competitive at least - BTW, is Quentin Robert related to Stephane Robert?

I don't think so.  Quentin hails from La Réunion, a French DOM in the Indian Ocean, while Stéphane was born in Montargis, 100 km or so south of Paris.
